Employers That Hire Veterans and Transitioning Military Service Members
As of September 2026, over 280 employers run dedicated veteran hiring programs in the U.S. Some programs work through military recruiters while others work through SkillBridge—the Department of War (formerly Department of Defense)'s veteran transition program—or have internal hiring programs of their own. Programs cluster heaviest in aerospace and defense but span across industries including healthcare, technology, and consulting.
The list is maintained by Gorick Ng, Harvard career adviser and author of the Wall Street Journal bestseller The Unspoken Rules, to help veterans and transitioning service members find and land their next roles. Each program is re-verified quarterly.
